The city of San Sebastián has almost one hundred climate refuges, 56 of which are outdoor refuges located in parks, gardens and green spaces. These areas provide protection from high temperatures during the hottest hours of the day, as their vegetation helps reduce heat build-up and regulate temperatures by creating shaded areas. In addition, these spaces offer peace and tranquillity, bringing visitors closer to nature and allowing them to escape the bustle of a city in the midst of its festivities. To showcase these green spaces, their natural richness and their value as places to cool down and unwind, a series of guided tours will take place from 10 to 14 August in five of San Sebastián's climate refuges, located in Aiete, Ametzagaina, Urgull, Cristina Enea and Ulia parks.
